As a Pet Health Ambassador, your responsibilities include:
Provide complete product knowledge and solutions for our clients – we are here to promote healthy pets!!
Complete the Perfect Purchase – interact on a personal level with clients, inpute client names, ring up the correct product & thank the client.
Process each transaction with accuracy and observe details.
Stock retail shelves in the morning, mid-day and evening.
Unpack products, sticker and re-ticketing when price changes occur.
Complete daily tasks on the Retail Pet Product Expert Task List.
Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
Provide a unique and amazing customer experience by greeting every client, engaging with them in a personal way and helping them find the Perfect Purchase.

About You

As Sales & Marketing Manager you lead by example in creating great customer experiences that drive top line sales. You are an organized individual who is able to motivate and lead the retail staff to achieve bottom line results. You inspire those around you by creating and maintaining a visually appealing and positive work environment. You work cooperatively with the General Manager and Purchasing & Receiving Coordinator on company reporting and all other assigned tasks. You have a keen eye for the ‘look and feel’ of Dee-O-Gee and how to communicate this through marketing.

You have a minimum of 3 years retail leadership experience that involves strategic, forward-thinking, and managing conflict and resolution.

You are a clear communicator with strong follow-up skills, a great listener and informative.

You have experience using Canva, Co-Schedule, HootSuite, FB, Instagram, and other like programs for Social Media.

As a Dee-O-Gee Sales & Marketing Manager, your responsibilities will include

Lead from the front by personally engaging with customers to demonstrate benchmark levels of customer experience and sales conversion rates.
Assist the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, retaining and training a diverse, talented and passionate group of pet-loving sales team members.
Coach and assist the sales team to achieve new personal bests in customer experience and sales conversion rates through product training and education.
Ensure store compliance and personal follow through of all Dee-O-Gee policies, procedures and CORE values.
Perform assigned operational procedures including reporting, email blasts and social media posts.
Lead the sales team training and development in the areas of customer experience and product knowledge.
Lead by implementing product placement, visual merchandising and product presentation standards and engaging all team members in the responsibility to maintain standards.
Drive store success by working as part of the store Leadership Team to ensure that all sales and performance metrics are met and exceeded.
Execute excellent in-store events throughout the year that positively impact bottom lines sales and increase customer loyalty.

Examples of Specific Tasks

Take responsibility of customer experience. Give feedback & guidance to staff and management team.
Be present on the sales floor and engage with clients to demonstrate a positive and effective conversation leading to sales.
Give guidance to staff on how to adjust and maintain positive customer experience through personal conversation or email.
Take responsibility for store cleanliness & store displays (fix and guide when needed on updating and maintaining displays).
Help lead staff meetings and staff trainings with the General Manager.

Maintain and promote Dee-O-Gee’s Local Facebook & Instagram accounts.
Create and execute monthly events.
Work with the P&R Coordinator and GM to establish monthly promotions. Then promote monthly promotions through social media & guide staff on sales training of particular products.
Run reports to see where we can improve sales and decrease expenses.
Help facilitate way to increase bottom lines sales.
Give sales goals to staff and find ways to encourage staff to meet goals.

When it comes to managing inventory, finding new products and maintaining a clean & efficient work space, you are top notch.

As Purchasing and Receiving Coordinator, your responsibilities include

an important member of the ‘products’ side of Dee-O-Gee, the Purchasing and Receiving Coordinator will place orders with distributors and vendors, maintain consistent accurate inventory levels, continually update and maintain ERPLY (Point-of-sale system), research and propose new products, evaluate current products, and run sales and aging reports to plan ahead for purchasing decisions.

The Purchasing and Receiving Coordinator accomplishes the above tasks by doing the following:
Lead from the front by personally engaging with customers to demonstrate benchmark levels of customer experience.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills with Dee-O-Gee Leadership Team, staff members and clients.
Work together with the Leadership Team to manage accurate inventory levels and create Open to Buy purchasing programs.
Using Open to Buy program and other stock replenishment reports you will order all major distributors along with smaller/direct vendors.
Manage, oversee, update and refine ERPLY inventory.
Analyze store reports and identify new strategies for maximizing results, and minimizing expenses related to shipping and receiving orders.
Oversee, special orders and merchandise returns and shipments for clients.
Organize and communicate with Reps on trainings and specials/promotions.

Examples of Specific Tasks

Submitting & Receive Purchase Orders/Invoices to all Distributors.
Submit smaller direct to vendor orders.
After receiving Purchase Orders in ERPLY, report order discrepancies & order issues. Along with this you will need to be aware of credits and responses from Reps.
Continually cross check pricing from distributors to ensure we are buying from the correct Distributors that offer the best pricing.
Work with the Lead Team to develop and execute monthly specials based off of what we need to move/promote.
Reach out to Reps to organize trainings.
Reach out to Reps to set up promotions/partnerships.
Work with Sales and Marketing Manager on monthly/weekly promotions.
Manage, oversee, update and refine ERPLY.
Maintain inventory management through quarterly inventory counting, maintenance of ERPLY and maintaining out of date inventory.
Execute special orders by placing orders and communicating with customers or directing staff on communicating with customers.
Record, update, and submit redemptions in the Frequent Buyer Program.
Submit and record client returns, employee feed and any credits through specials, promotions or coupons and/or enlist help from staff on this.

As Dee-O-Gee General Manager, your responsibilities include:
As a senior member of the store team, the Dee-O-Gee Operations Manager will manage a full staff of store personnel in achieving sales, customer and animal service, customer satisfaction, and profitability goals for the store. Operating in line with company vision and values, the General Manager develops and executes short and long term plans to achieve goals in support of the company strategy. The General Manager accomplishes this through management of and delegation to skilled Area Managers and team members.

Manage and oversee in-store operations to achieve sales, service, customer satisfaction, and profitability goals for the store.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills with staff, customers, partners, and Owners.
Ensure store compliance following CORE values and personal follow through of all Dee-O-Gee policies and procedures.
You will work together with the Lead Team and/or Owners to actively identify, recruit, hire, and train Dee-O-Gee staff members.

You will work to ensure retention of a diverse, talented, qualified and smart group of people and pet loving team members.
Drive store success, working with the store Leadership Team to ensure that all sales, department, and overarching store goals and performance indicators are met and exceeded.
Analyze store-level reports and identify new strategies for maximizing results, reporting information to staff and upper management.
Define and communicate new strategies for sales and profit growth within the store team, and then put them into place (in collaboration with owners), monitoring and reporting on effectiveness.
Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained every day, in every way.
Oversee, special orders and merchandise returns, transfers, and shipments.
Take personal responsibility for store profitability, financial budgeting, managing labor costs, and overall store level expenses to meet store performance goals and budgets.
