Pet Health Ambassador Job Description

Dee-O-Gee is looking for exceptional full and part time customer service representatives to join our retail team here in Bozeman!

A successful retail staff (or Pet Health Ambassador) possesses the qualities of being a self-starter, eager to learn, passionate about dogs and cats, and has a desire to help customers provide meaningful care through holistic nutritional practices and additional enrichment to the animals in their lives.

Your Experience:

  • You have specialty retail experience and/or experience in a fast paced work environment.
  • You have customer service experience
  • You have experience working as part of a team
  • You have experience in the pet industry and/or handling animals.
  • You have experience multitasking within a work environment

As a Pet Health Ambassador, your responsibilities would include:

1) Providing complete product knowledge and solutions for our clients and their pets 2) Having knowledge in ailments that commonly occur to pets in order to provide the best product recommendation
3) Continuing to learn and expand knowledge on products sold at Dee-O-Gee

3) Advocating for the health and well being of dogs and cats
4) Having personal experience with your owns pets and pet products
5) Interacting with vet clinics, organizations and groups throughout the community.
6) Creating a positive customer interaction - engage on a personal level with clients
7) Able to easily work with a multitude of personality types
8) Working in a fast paced, supportive environment
9) Clearly communicating with customers and staff members
10) Processing sales transaction with accuracy and efficiency
11) Stocking retail shelves in the morning, mid-day and evening.
12) Being a self-starter with cleaning, organizing and ensuring cleanliness of retail floor 13) Unpacking products, stickering and re-ticketing when price changes occur
14) Completing daily tasks and chores on the checklists provided.
15) Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
16) Meeting sales goals as directed and encouraged.
17) Participating in special events when needed.
18) Organizing and maintaining product placement.
19) Attending staff meetings and staff social events

Physical Requirements:

●  Able to lift up to 50lbs

●  Able to stand for long periods of time on concrete floors (up to 8hrs)

●  Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, and crouch frequently

●  Able to work around pets
